Emotions are a power source

Human beings are compressed versions of the entire universe and we hold so much power that rarely gets utilized. I hope with our rapid state of evolution and the quickening of our times lines, we are ready to become masters of our emotional bodies instead of letting emotions wreck our lives. Emotions are ALLIES-they are not meant to be eradicated from our bodies or weaponized as defense mechanisms. Emotions can be worked with as co-creative, evolving partners for power and intuition! Your emotions want to serve you.

How do you calm your waters?

Initial steps for emotional flow and mastery:

*Become aware of where you feel emotions in your body. This takes time, practice and patience to learn how to BE with your emotions without judgement.

*Practice experiencing your emotions without reacting. This requires you to be in an observer role while engaging with someone else. You can only practice this non-reactive observer state for a short period of time. Remember, you are practicing a new way of being so inform those around you that you are working on breaking old patterns so you might be acting differently and it has nothing to do with them.

*Getting clear on our emotions requires alone time and spending time in nature. By doing so, you can untangle your own emotional reactions and projections from those of others. Alone time in nature allows you to get clear on what is yours to heal. The more we work on emotions, the more we realize that almost everything in a reactive state is a projection from the past and has little to do with the current situation.

*Make sure you are well rested, well nourished, grounded, and clear before working on emotional triggers.

When you get triggered into an old emotional reaction pattern, try these steps:

1-Diffuse the situation by breaking the pattern. Don't stay in the same physical space and continue the interaction in the same way, break up the energy. Go to the bathroom or go outside, change the topic or scenery. Watch how animals shake off conflict. Friction is normal in nature but animals diffuse conflict vy shaking or trembling and do not hold the tension in their bodies.

2-As soon as you can get alone and assess an emotional reaction, check in with yourself as if you were speaking to your child and say, "How did that make you feel?"

3-Find a technique for releasing and balancing emotions that works for you. Emotional Freedom Technique, Holotropic Breathwork, Tai Chi, Qi Gong, Yoga, Meditation. Many techniques are effective-choose one you like.
